Dividend policy: 
Although dividends are expected to be declared and paid quarterly, the Board, in its sole discretion, will determine the amount and timing of any dividends. All dividend payments will depend on general business conditions, the Company’s financial condition, results of operations, capital requirements and such other factors as the Board determines to be relevant.

Together with its dividend policy, the Company also expects that it will be active with share buyback programs, considering the factors described above, and that such programs will be an important feature of its overall strategy for providing returns to shareholders.

Eligible Dividend Designation (Canada Income Tax Act): 

The Federal Income Tax Act, and most provincial income tax legislation, provides lower levels of taxation for Canadian individuals who receive eligible dividends. All of the common share dividends paid by Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. (or its predecessor Canaccord Financial Inc.) since 2006 are eligible, as are common share dividends paid hereafter, unless otherwise indicated.
